Transport in and around the Plaza

As the city center is small and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento is at it's heart the transport situation is very simple.  Walking is a successful way of reaching many nearby areas.

For thing that are more distant you may consider renting a bicycle, though only if you have experience with city traffic biking as Valencia does not have separate bike paths and bikes are not permitted on pavements so you will have to ride on the road.  You can rent a bike from the city at Plaza Ayuntamiento - Cotanda, or just around the corner in Calle de San Vicente M�rtir rent a Scooter from Cooltra: http://www.cooltra.com/en

By bus is also the way the locals do it, EMT runs buses to virtually every part of the city, though of course busses are difficult in another language.

Finally there is a Metro Valencia, which though small, does reach major destinations.
